Начну с недавно подсмотренного на MW. Идея, возникшая у Richard "Pugix" Brewster на фоне желания сделать что-то в духе "ходьбы насекомого".

К слову, я раньше и не знал про full wave rectifer'ы!It's a straightforward clocked sample and hold, followed by a slew, but with one twist. I take the difference of the input and output of the slew and then full-wave rectify it. ABS(A - B). The result is a positive voltage proportional to the difference. This is mixed with an external CV for overall rate, causing the slew to move faster to match a greater difference. By adjusting the initial rates of the clock and slew, and the mix of the diff CV and the external CV, you can get a random slewed result that you can control the overall rate.
Monitoring the FWR output, you see a spike proportional in height to the initial diff, which then ramps down to zero with an exponential curve. I tried this with a Joranalogue Contour 1 as the slew limiter, which has VC curves. It seemed to work best with linear settings.

Full wave rectification actually flips the negative portion positive. So with the CFM (great unit by the way, check my video :hihi: ) you could put in a sine wave, take the positive output into a mixer (simple unit mixer would be ideal) and the negative output through an inverter then into the unit mixer.
